View Google profile ↗I had a wonderful experience, Kevin seemed very upfront and knowledgeable about what I was inquiring. The store was easy to access downtown and they even had parking spots for free for customers, which was great and convenient. The store itself was nice looking and professional. The experience itself was no pressure and no hassle. I have no complaints. I would recommend anybody that needed to sell jewelry or gold that they were trying to offload To check them out. Five stars would use again!

What matters when evaluating topaz
The stone matters more than the trade name
GIA explains that imperial topaz has no official naming standard. Dealers can use the term for different colors or degrees of saturation. The name on a receipt is therefore a starting point for discussion, not proof of identity, origin, treatment status or a particular value.
Show the exact wording of any existing report and treatment disclosure. Our specialists consider the actual stone’s appearance and condition together with its documentation, rather than treating an impressive label as a complete description.
Review the topaz and the complete jewelry
A topaz ring or pendant includes more than the center stone. Its metal, maker, workmanship and accompanying stones can matter to an assessment. Bring the whole piece, existing paperwork and anything you know about repairs, loose prongs or damaged edges.
Ordinary-light photographs of the front, side, setting and marks can help a preliminary conversation. Photos do not confirm every treatment or natural-origin question. The specialist can explain whether an in-person examination or additional laboratory information is useful.
Prepare without altering the piece
Topaz can split along cleavage directions even though it resists some scratching. Avoid scratch or tapping tests, forceful handling, steam and ultrasonic cleaning. Keep a loose stone protected and leave a mounted stone in its setting before the inquiry.
An insurance replacement figure is not the same as a resale purchase offer. We explain the factors relevant to our assessment and discuss suitability before remote shipping. No new report, photograph or technical description is required to start the conversation.
Expertise, equipment & market knowledge
A closer look. An offer you understand.
You work one-on-one with our specialists. Our team includes GIA credential holders and experienced jewelry professionals. We examine the complete piece, explain what we find and discuss the market factors behind our assessment. You can ask questions and take time to decide.
Long-standing buyer and wholesaler relationships help us understand resale demand beyond a scrap-only calculation. A stone, signed setting or well-made jewel can deserve separate consideration. We explain which characteristics support the offer rather than asking you to accept a number without context.
Microscopy: condition, construction and detail
Our gemological microscopes help us examine internal features, surface wear, settings and workmanship with suitable lighting. Those observations can reveal details that matter to a gemstone or the complete jewel. We interpret them alongside other appropriate checks rather than treating magnification alone as proof of identity or origin.
Refractometry and thermal screening: narrow the possibilities
Our GEM Instruments Duplex II refractometer measures how a suitable, accessible gemstone surface bends light. Our Presidium Gem Tester provides thermal-conductivity screening on suitable materials. These methods supply different clues; overlapping results and the way a stone is mounted can limit what they establish. Neither instrument alone provides an authenticity certificate or a price.
Raman spectroscopy: investigate the material
Raman spectroscopy compares a material’s light-scattering spectrum with reference information to help investigate its identity. We select appropriate methods for the question and explain their findings. Some treatment, natural-origin or geographic-origin questions need additional work by an independent gemological laboratory; no single instrument settles every question.
Before you visit
Does every dealer use imperial topaz to mean the same thing?
No. GIA states there is no official standard for the term. Describe the actual stone and share existing documentation rather than relying on the name alone.
Can you confirm imperial topaz from a phone photograph?
A photograph can help an initial discussion, but it does not confirm identity, treatment status, geographic origin or final value. The specialist can explain what further examination is useful.
What if my appraisal says topaz but does not discuss treatment?
Share the full document and say what is unknown. Do not add an untreated claim yourself. We can explain which questions remain and whether additional laboratory information would help.
Should I clean or remove the topaz before an evaluation?
Leave the piece intact. Do not scratch-test or tap the stone, and avoid steam or ultrasonic cleaning. Bring it in its setting or a protective container and discuss any preparation with a specialist.
Do you buy ordinary topaz, or only imperial topaz?
Our buying focus is imperial topaz, with additional consideration for signed pieces and topaz set in precious metals. Non-imperial topaz can qualify through either of those exceptions. Bring or send photos of the complete piece so we can discuss the right next step; the trade name or a photo alone does not establish its identity or value.
Can I get a loan on imperial topaz or topaz jewelry?
Yes, we offer collateral loans on eligible imperial topaz, signed pieces and topaz set in precious metals. We evaluate the complete piece and explain the available amount, costs, repayment dates and redemption terms before you decide. A purchase offer and a loan offer are separate options.
Not local? Discuss selling jewelry from home before shipping. Considering borrowing? Ask about an eligible jewelry loan and its written terms.
